Hello friends, today it will be very maritime with us, because we have for you many new inspiration with Come Sail Away Suite products! Come on the small, creative trip!

I have always wanted a stamp set with an anchor and now my wish was fulfilled, or even something more than that, because besides the anchor are also other wonderful motifs that fit perfectly with the summer! Once started and a few projects hopped from my crafting table. First I create the cards. Quite simple and clean, with the beautiful nautical elements!

A little bit of color and a little bit of contrast bring the cards from Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack (item 149552) that I used for the background of my cards. Then I stamped the first anchor in Nigth of Navy on parchment and the second anchor just with Versamark on whisper white and embossed it in silver. I am very happy that the English sentiments are included as stickers in the Card Pack - this is so super handy!

On the third card, I focused on the lighthouse that stands so romantically on the rocks! Hach! Now comes the desire for sea and vacation!

After the cards I wanted to try a layout page, because I had this photo with the sailboat from vacation!

For the layout, I used a page whisper white in 12 "x 12" inches. The designer paper Come Sail Away (item 149481) serves as a colorful frame and I think that fits perfectly with the pic.  Since I wanted to use the colors very gently on the paper and whisper white is known not so good water, I have a kind of primer (so-called Gesso) mixed and made the paper so water compatible. Thank you dear Jessica Winter for the tip!

With the Gesso I sealed the paper and could then paint with the Aqua Painter some color from the ink pad in Seaside Spray. Also, some structure with the structure paste was excellent to apply (because the paste is also white, you can see that unfortunately in the photos very difficult). Then, when I finished designing the background, I put the picture in a porthole, which in turn is decorated with Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine, aquatic plants, the punched rudder and other decorative elements. In the end has also the beautiful sentiment found its place on the layout.

Your scrapbook page is stunning! I've never thought of using Gesso on card stock--I think I will have to give it a try. Love your clean and simple cards, too, really brings focus to the stamped elements.
